Des has been busy networking with some more VIPS (it’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it)! Last week he met the inspirational Nick Skelton, who battled back from a broken neck in 2000 to become GB’s oldest Olympic gold medallist for 108 years in Rio, with a little help from his equine partner Big Star. Incidentally, Nick is a record-breaker himself, holding the British record for jumping the highest fence when he cleared over 7’7” on Lastic in 1979.

Nick joins a list of sporting stars who have offered their help with the world record attempt and Des is really encouraged by how willing sporting celebrities have been to record questions for quiz. This promises to help make it an enjoyable and memorable night for all those taking part.
